Rebecca Brossoit is an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at Louisiana State University (LSU) and the Principal Investigator of the SNEWS Lab. Dr. Brossoit conducts research on employee sleep, workplace safety, nature, the work-life interface, workplace interventions, and professional issues in the field of I-O. 
 
Dr. Brossoit completed her Master of Science and Doctorate degrees in Industrial and Organizational Psychology (I-O) from Colorado State University and completed a graduate traineeship in Occupational Health Psychology through the Mountain and Plains Education Research Center. Prior to graduate school, Dr. Brossoit earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where she majored in psychology and minored in sociology, and worked in a sleep research lab. After graduate school, Dr. Brossoit worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Oregon Institute for Occupational Health Sciences at Oregon Health & Science University and received training in the design, implementation, and evaluation of workplace randomized controlled trial interventions.

In addition to research, Dr. Brossoit teaches undergraduate Introduction to Psychology (PSYC 2000) and graduate Occupational Health Psychology (PSYC 7959) at LSU.

During her nonwork time, Dr. Brossoit enjoys listening to live music, spending time outside, and practicing yoga.

Hannah Perkins Stark is a third-year doctoral student in the LSU I/O Psychology program. A Louisiana native, she earned her bachelor's degree in psychology from LSU in 2020 and her master's degree in I/O psychology in 2022. Her research interests include the application of advanced research methodologies to examine employee well-being and the work/non-work interface. After earning her Ph.D., she hopes to obtain a position as an Assistant Professor. Outside of school, she enjoys doing yoga, listening to the Crime Junkie podcast, and renovating her “fixer-upper”.

Andrea Bickley is a second-year LSU psychology major and McNair Research Scholar from Alton, Illinois. She plans to attend graduate school to pursue a career as an I/O psychologist in consulting. She enjoys spending time with family and friends and watching Netflix. 

Jasmine Gray is a first-year undergraduate student in the LSU Psychology program. After graduating, she plans to continue her studies and earn a doctoral degree in psychology. She is passionate about helping others and wants to become a driving force of positive change in her community. As a Louisiana Service and Leadership (LASAL) Scholar at the Ogden Honors College, she fills her time studying solutions to major Louisiana challenges such as chronic poverty and coastal wetland loss. She currently works at the LSU Ogden Honors College as a front desk attendant. Outside of school, Jasmine enjoys volunteering for nonprofit organizations, traveling, and vegetable gardening.

Samantha Ferrer is a freshman at LSU. She is double majoring in Microbiology and Psychology with a concentration in Cognitive Neuroscience on her path to medical school. Samantha loves music and enjoys reading, cooking, shopping, and watching Gilmore Girls. She also loves listening to the “I Am All In” podcast, with Scott Patterson. She volunteers at her local church, the American Red Cross, and Women’s Hospital.

Madalyn McQuillan is currently a sophomore pursuing her bachelor’s in psychology at LSU. After completing her undergraduate degree, she hopes to go on to pursue a master’s and a PhD in psychology. Originally from the D.C. area Madalyn is happy to call Louisiana her new home and proud to be the first in her family to attend college. Madalyn has been an enlisted National Guard member for three years and starts her ROTC courses this semester to become an officer. In her personal time Madalyn enjoys hiking with her dog, reading, and practicing photography.
